Contemplating some of our amazingly successful members, I find myself wondering how they dealt with the failures they must have experienced in their journeys. Failure often serves as a defining moment, a crossroads on the journey. It can be a test designed to measure our courage, perseverance, commitment and dedication. It provides us with a great opportunity to decide how much we really want something. Are we willing to pay the price success requires?
Interestingly, I see people every day who concentrate only on just being there. There seems to be no success or failure…just doing. They seem to jump from one thing to the next with little time for anything other than simply showing up. Perhaps there is a sense of comfort in not dealing with either success or failure, yet I am not sure that is a good thing. There are important lessons to be learned from each. Failure is not meant to be final or fatal and success is not the end of the journey. When we see failure as an opportunity, it becomes a stepping-stone to success.
Can we move beyond just showing up? Can we fully involve ourselves in the process? We may fail- we may succeed- but the lessons we learn from both failure and success are critical to the process through which we grow. Each lesson is intended to refine us to be all that we can be. So, today, like a raging fire, l choose to be fully involved. Reach out and fail, succeed, learn! Refuse to sit passively on the sideline of life and watch it pass by. Fan the flames of your passion until it burns brightly!

Barb you are always so wise with words of wisdom and observation. Thank you. <3
I just posted something similar on my page.
Let's do this!
We have a new day filled with opportunities to serve God and keep His commandments. What a blessing it truly is if we take a moment to stop and think about it. Pray
If you are in the process of changing your health keep going! You can do it! Make small goals to reach daily. Eventually you'll reach your larger goals and milestones.
If you are struggling what's going on? Can you change what's troubling you? Are the temptations you meet larger than the love for yourself? Pray and walk away.
Are you going strong along your journey? That's awesome!!! Keep going and doing what's working for you and your body.
Life is a series of opportunities and choices with rewards and consequences.
Oh, and don't forget to go to your TOPS meeting - if you want to face the scales or not. It makes it real and keeps you accountable. Congrats to all the new officers too!!
