I…I believe…I believe that…I believe that we…I believe that we will…I believe that we will win! I believe that we will win! If you watched any of the recent World Cup Soccer games involving the US Men’s Team, you probably witnessed thousands of fans jumping up and down while chanting these words. Interestingly, the origin of the cheer came from a football game, and is based on the premise that you don’t win if you don’t believe you will win.
Belief, like faith, is believing in what you can’t see. It is having faith you will win based on the hard work and sacrifices you have made. I love the following quote from Barbara J. Winter: “When you come to the edge of all the light you know and are about to step off into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing one of two things will happen. There will be something solid to stand on, or you will be taught how to fly.” Too often, when faced with the unknown, we are unwilling to take that leap of faith which is necessary to move us forward.
Recognize, trust and use the power of belief or faith. While I can’t guarantee that simply by making the leap you will be successful, the chances are if you have prepared yourself adequately, there will be solid ground on which to stand…or you will be taught how to fly. Listen for it! I…(it starts as a whisper)…I believe…(it is getting stronger)…I believe that…(we are worthy)…I believe that we…(we have prepared)…I believe that we will…(it is time to fly and the plan into action)…I believe that we will win! I believe that we will lose One Million Pounds this year!
Time to check in on your progress with TOPS Million Pound Mission to lose ten or more pounds or be a KOPS in leeway by the end of 2017. How are you doing?

I have a strong faith. The Lord and I have been having an on-going conversation about my need to change the direction of my health and well-being. I started this after being installed as leader of my small chapter CO 0007, Pueblo. I have not recorded a gain since then. The power of faith is awesome!

Amen. My dad and brother were born in Pueblo. My grandpa and his brothers owned Hughes Brothers Texaco Stations…….that was a great post Debra. Very powerful. We live in AZ now. Keep up the good progress.

Thank you, Barb! This ties in perfectly w/ a new book I am reading “Skinny Habits: the 6 Secrets of Thin People.” The myth of “will power” is de-bunked and the truth of “I can really do this…” must take root in our minds before we can take consistent, positive steps toward change.

A great talisman for KOPS and TOPS members who are suffering set backs or don’t understand why they can eat a whole jar of peanut butter in one night although the thought process of desire, control, and action are screaming for attention. The way to overcome this dark hole is to sit down, take a few deep breaths and do some chair exercises that aren’t intensive and then go for some fresh air. The head will be cleared of the lack of the synapses “pushing away” the good routine to let the bad routine to take command and the guilt disgusting feelings the next day. Food addicts have many friends and many similar feelings and “rush” as the drug addict because the serotonin gets pushed way off course to allow for the discourse cruzing.
