Not sure how many of you have tuned in yet, but we’ve been rolling out new content on the TOPS YouTube channel for the last few months. Currently, it is a hodgepodge of segments during which I demo recipes that have appeared in recent issues of TOPS News and share shopping tips while getting groceries in “behind the scenes” (BTS) shorts. If you’ve missed a few, here’s a teaser for each of these latest videos:
We have phases where A LOT of toast gets eaten at my house. So, I share step-by-step how to make one of most my satisfying renditions using peanut butter, raw nuts and granola.
Watch me whip up at home my “go-to” smoothie combo. A great choice for a post-workout snack—or when you’re wanting a tasty chilly treat that’s more nutritious than ice cream or custard.
I enjoyed showing off in ”real-time” what a cinch it is to make the Raw Apple Crumble recipe which appeared in the May/June 2023 edition of the magazine.
This is one is a “YouTube exclusive” recipe since it hasn’t been featured in the magazine nor is it available via the member portal yet. But the full recipe and corresponding nutritional info is in the caption of the post so you should have all the details you need to try making it at home.
The three clips posted thus far include a few hot tips for how to maximize your exchanges—as well as food budget—in the produce and bulk aisles. Plus check out the “fast forward” teaser of me assembling one of the party platters that there’s a recipe for in the next issue of TOPS News.
Hopefully you’ll feel inspired to experiment a bit in the kitchen this summer. If so, keep us posted on how your cooking adventures are going. Also, let me know if you have a recipe or DIY video idea you would like the TOPS editorial team to consider producing. One final spoiler alert: the Wellness Wednesday blog will be monthly (rather than bi-monthly) until this fall. So I’ll be back with more well-being tips in July!
With joy, with laughter, with grace…Continue to witness—and acknowledge—each other’s strength this Wednesday.
