Sometimes, you just want to keep things simple. That’s part of why I’m a fan of homemade smoothies. They’re a blissfully simple and unfussy way to get loads of nutrients. After receiving a new blender as a gift (Best. Gift. Ever.), I’ve been creating all kinds of concoctions, usually with some sort of frozen fruit, oat or almond milk and a little protein powder. The below recipe is only three ingredients and a delicious way to cool down as the temps slowly climb up.
Ingredients
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
- 1 ¼ cup oat milk
Directions
Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth.

Cheers, friends!
I like to mix 8 ounces organic unsweetened almond milk with no sugar added chocolate flavor Nesquik and a banana in the blender along with crushed ice. Makes a great chocolate shake.
Sorry too many carbs now that I’m a bariatric patient.
I think it would be a good substitute though for say homemade icecream on a hot summer day. Thanks for sharing.
