There is no real order to how all these signs need to be lined up and no sign is more important than another. However, I was surprised that I have not yet refracted about the SLOW sign.
Seeing a DANGER AHEAD sign, I automatically adjust my SPEED LIMIT so there is no need to put a SLOW sign in the area. But maybe there should be.
A SLOW sign is indeed important because I need to be reminded to be patient. As I have stated before, like other people, I wanted to lose weight immediately. I did not follow sensible guidance but I changed my attitude when I joined TOPS.
I was told that I did not reach 100 lbs. above my WEIGHT LIMIT overnight. It happened over a period of time, so it is obvious (not really) that it will take time to lose the 100 lbs. Hence, the proper placement of the SLOW sign.
There are many things that apply to the SLOW sign. By going slowly, there is time to make better decisions, truly listen to a FLAGGER and find ALTERNATE ROUTES via DETOUR.
To properly MERGE, I needed to again be reminded by the SLOW sign. While it is true I did not get obese quickly, I often do many things at a faster pace. I tended to eat extremely fast, and would take INFORMATION quickly, not really refracting on the data.
I’ve heard that the journey to a healthier lifestyle is a marathon, not a sprint. I wish I had seen that SLOW sign sooner. Luckily, I am on track and practicing taking smaller steps, adjusting my pace to achieve positive results.
It is not always easy, and the frustrations of SPEED BUMPS will cause me to DRIVE THRU quickly without thinking. However, I will make better use of the REST AREA and watch for FALLING ROCKS.
I must always follow the SLOW sign. Yes, I must be patient so I will not become a patient.
