I have shared my journey to becoming a healthier me and embracing wellness as a goal measured by non-scale victories through my blogs. Hopefully, you have enjoyed traveling with me, looking up at the constellations as I Aimed for the Stars. I have used markers to guide me as I Followed the Signs, maintaining a Sense-ble Look to that healthy life. It was important to acknowledge that the journey is indeed complex, and I needed to Make the Right Moves by digging into the nucleus of major issues using the Periodic Table of TOPS.
As I was wrapping up the last series, deciding what the next one would be became a challenge. I made a deep refraction, and wondered why I had lost my way six times during my 24 years in TOPS. It seems the common denominator is that complacent attitudes crept in, leading to an apathetic view of my success. The enthusiasm just was not there. If I am to make a successful attempt at achieving my KOPS status for the seventh time, something needs to change.

And there it was, that word that I always seem to stumble on…“change”. As I often do, I started to overanalyze, playing with the word “change”. Maybe using the word “variety” would be helpful. After all, variety is the spice of life.
I always thought my grandfather made up the saying “variety is the spice of life.” The phrase was actually first written in 1785 by William Cowper. It was used in the poem titled “The Task”. That title seems appropriate as I often refract that weight loss can be a difficult task to undertake.
So, there you have it, another topic that I can use to spice up my journey and share my refracted thoughts with you. See you next thyme.

Good morning Rick…
I’ve used your blogs for meeting discussions for as long as you’ve been doing them. It never ceases to amaze me as to the ideas you can come up with.
With his new series that we started at meeting last night with your first blog, one of my executive members asked if I could find out ahead of time what spices that you are going to be using for this series because she has an idea as to what she can do ahead of the presentation at the meeting..we at least know that the next one is Thyme…:)
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you Rick for all you do.
Hugs

Such a great topic! There is much healing energy in spices and I bet most of us have barely scratched the surface.
Looking forward to the future blog posts.
Thank you!
