If you\u2019ve ever cooked or baked, chances are you may have made a flavorless side dish or cookies that could pass for hockey pucks. It happens. Throughout our weight-loss journeys, TOPS encourages us to keep trying and to not be afraid of making mistakes. The same applies to our adventures in the kitchen. If we don\u2019t keep trying, we may miss out on a really tasty recipe.<\/p>\n<p>After a trip to the farmers market this past weekend, I think I may have stumbled upon my new go-to summer salad. And, the best part is, the recipe was totally unplanned and turned out delicious. It ended up being a hit at a Sunday afternoon cookout. In hopes that I inspire you too to be fearless in the kitchen, check out my three-step summer salad.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wash and chop yellow tomatoes, mini sweet peppers and small cucumbers typically used for making pickles. Feel free to substitute other vegetables however you\u2019d like.<\/li>\n<li>Add fresh chopped basil, a drizzle of balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper.<\/li>\n<li>Mix together and enjoy!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Sometimes, the best things in life are totally unplanned. Flops will happen in the kitchen, and in life, but that doesn\u2019t mean we should give up.
