It seems that this tasty and trendy food is enjoying its time in the spotlight. But before you shell out for this pre-packaged treat, don\u2019t forget about all of the options you have with a simple head of cauliflower. Here are a few of my favorites at the moment:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cast iron cauliflower<\/strong> \u2013 Sometimes my favorite recipes come from a desperate need to go grocery shopping and being forced to get creative with what I already have on hand. Enter cast iron cauliflower. Using <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.tops.org\/wellness-wednesday\/3-must-haves-for-your-kitchen\/\">one of my favorite cooking tools<\/a>, all you need is a head of cauliflower, olive oil, your favorite spices, grated parmesan cheese and a jar of marinara (if you\u2019d like). Heat the oil in the pan while chopping the cauliflower into florets. Toss in the florets and stir until they\u2019re slightly browned, adding your favorite herbs or spices (I just used a pinch of kosher salt and garlic powder). Add a few dollops of marinara sauce, a sprinkle of parmesan cheese and place in a preheated oven (about 350\u00b0 F) for about 15 minutes or so. I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious this turned out, and my husband loved it too!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cauli-tacos<\/strong> \u2013 Don\u2019t let Tuesday have all the fun. Make any day \u201cTaco Tuesday\u201d with cauli-tacos. Chop cauliflower into tiny florets and saut\u00e9 in your oil of choice with mushrooms and onions. Wrap in a toasted corn tortilla and top with your favorite taco staples, like salsa and avocado.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cauli-omelet<\/strong> \u2013 I\u2019ve <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.tops.org\/wellness-wednesday\/playing-nice-with-cauliflower-rice\/\">shared this before<\/a>, and it\u2019s one of my favorite breakfasts. Saut\u00e9 cauliflower \u201crice\u201d in oil, add a couple eggs or egg whites, and top with spinach or your other favorite greens. The cauli rice gives the omelet a delicious fluffy texture that\u2019s light but filling.
